Register for Love Data Week!

February 12-16 is International Love Data Week 2024. This year’s theme is “My Kind of Data”. The Geneva Graduate Institute Library is organising some events for the occasion, with support from the Tech Hub and the Research Office.

What is Love Data Week?

Traditionally set on the week of Valentine’s Day, LDW is dedicated to Open Research Data (ORD) and Research Data Management (RDM): how to make sure that the data you collect is (re)usable and that your research is reproducible.

Data is the fundamental component upon which research results are based. You should treat it with love and care so that it can feed and nurture your ideas and reflections. Trade, communication, and the visibility or privacy of marginalised groups also depend on data handling. Share it with the world or keep it safe, but make sure you manage it sustainably or it could turn into an ugly mess!

What will the Institute offer during LDW24?

Six 45-minute online sessions on ORD and RDM. Register now!

On Thursday 15 (PM, exact time TBD), we will also host an in-person discussion on what researchers need at the Institute and what experience they could share with others in workshops for our community. Contact researchdata@graduateinstitute.ch for more information.

Finally, we will have a display at the entrance of the Library, where you can find titles on data in society, research, and visualisation.
