Welcome to the Geneva Graduate Institute Library! We look forward to meeting you soon and helping you have the best possible student experience with us. Here are tips for a successful start:
Take part in the Library Induction tour!
Join us for a 60-minute tour and get to know our services, print and electronic collections, and the swisscovery catalogue. Meet us on-site at 12.15 pm, from Tuesday 20 to Friday 30 September. Each tour is in English and limited to 20 participants.
Register to SLSP network
The Library is a member of the Swiss Library Platform (SLSP), which includes 490 other Swiss academic libraries. As a Geneva Graduate Institute Library user, you have access to millions of documents. But first, you have to register to benefit from our services (loan, reservation, etc.). Save time and register now!
Access our collections through our catalogue
Swisscovery is our catalogue and discovery tool. Use it to have access to our print and electronic collections or request a document from another SLSP library.
Download the VPN and login to access our electronic resources
If you are not on campus, download and use the VPN to access our electronic resources, including e-books, e-journals and databases.
Carry your student multi-services card with you on campus
Your student card is also your library card and you will need it to borrow books and to print, copy and scan. The card can also be used to open the Library bubbles (team working spaces) and access the building (Petal 2) on Sundays.
Remember to update your card regularly at the Institute’s reception or at the cafeteria’s main entrance.
Register to workshops offered by the Library
To learn how to use Zotero, the open-source citation manager, deal with your research data and develop, as a PhD student, your digital skills, check our calendar and register.
