Welcome to the Graduate Institute Library! We look forward to meeting you soon and helping you have the best possible student experience with us. Here are tips for a successful start.
Take part in the Library Induction tour!
Join us for a 60-minute tour and get to know our services, print and electronic collections, and the Swisscovery catalogue. Meet us on-site at 12.15 pm, from Tuesday 21 September to 1 October. Each tour is limited to 25 participants.
For other training sessions and workshops organised by the Library, check our programme and agenda.
Register on swisscovery
The Library has joined the SLSP library network, which includes 475 Swiss libraries. As a Graduate Institute Library user, you now have access to the collections of these libraries. But first, you have to register to benefit from Graduate Institute Library services (loan, reservation, etc.). Save time and register now!
Access our collections through our catalogue
Swisscovery is our catalogue and discovery tool. Use it to have access to our print and electronic collections or request a document from another SLSP library.
Download the VPN and login to access our electronic resources
If you are not on campus, download and use the VPN to access our electronic resources, including e-books, e-journals and databases.
Carry your student multi-services card with you on campus
Your student card is also your library card and you will need it to borrow books and to print, copy and scan. The card can also be used to open the Library bubbles (team working spaces) and access the building (Petal 2) on Sundays.
Remember to update your card regularly at the Institute’s reception or at the cafeteria’s main entrance.
Respect the Institute’s protection plan
To ensure a safe start for everyone, follow the coronavirus protection plan: wash your hands regularly, wear a hygienic mask in the reading room and on campus, respect social distancing, and get tested if you have symptoms.
Welcome to the Institute. We hope you have a great time.
