February 09-14 is International Love Data Week 2026! This year’s theme is “”Where is the Data?”. The Geneva Graduate Institute Library is organising some events for the occasion.
What is Love Data Week?
Traditionally set on the week of Valentine’s Day, LDW is dedicated to Open Research Data (ORD) and Research Data Management (RDM): how to make sure that the data you collect is (re)usable and that your research is reproducible.
Data is the fundamental component upon which research results are based. You should treat it with love and care so that it can feed and nurture your ideas and reflections. Trade, communication, and the visibility or privacy of marginalised groups also depend on data handling. Share it with the world or keep it safe, but make sure you manage it sustainably or it could turn into an ugly mess!
What will the Institute offer during LDW26?
Six 45-minute online sessions on ORD and RDM. Register now!
- Introduction to research data management (Mon 09/02, 09:15-10:00)
- Data management plans for SNSF and ERC projects (Mon 09/02, 10:15-11:00)
- Research data naming and organisation practices (Tue 10/02, 09:15-10:00)
- Sharing your research as open data on a FAIR repository – Zenodo Communities (Tue 10/02, 10:15-11:00)
- Introduction to digital security for social science researchers (Tue 10/02, 14:15-15:00)

You can also check the more than 40 online events organised by other Swiss research institutions, and even more from international institutions.
Finally, we will have a display at the entrance of the Library, where you can find titles on data in society, research, and visualisation.
I can’t make it. Where can I learn more about RDM and ORD?
